Institute on Dismantling Racism, Inc. – Educates, organizes and supports communities and organizations in developing policies and procedures to create diverse and inclusive cultures.
Legal Aid of North Carolina – A statewide, nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people in order to ensure equal access to justice and to remove legal barriers to economic opportunity.
NAACP – An organization to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of minority group citizens of the United States and eliminate race prejudice.
Arbor Acres United Methodist Retirement Community – An independent and continuing care retirement community.
Azalea Terrace – A senior living apartment community that provides affordable housing for residents of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.
Brookridge Retirement Community – A retirement community that offers Assisted Living, Independent Living, Nursing Homes, and Continuing Care Communities.
Holiday Retirement Home – A retirement community that promises to give seniors the comfort of simple pleasures.
Senior Services – A non-profit organization with a mission to help older adults remain at home for as long as possible and to help them live with dignity.
The Shepherd’s Center – An interfaith ministry that promotes and supports successful aging by providing direct services, volunteer opportunities, and enrichment programs for older adults.
Sticht Center For Healthy Aging & Alzheimer’s Prevention – A state-of-the-art geriatric clinical and research center.
Bethesda Center for the Homeless – An organization that helps to improve the lives of Winston-Salem’s homeless men and women by providing shelter and housing stabilization services with intensive case management.
City with Dwellings – An organization that works with people experiencing homelessness while emphasizing community, relationships, and trust through operating overflow shelters and doing street outreach.
Crisis Control Ministry – An organization that offers targeted short-term emergency assistance to individuals in acute need and crisis while emphasizing respect and compassion.
Dress for Success – An organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
Experiment in Self-Reliance – An organization that empowers social and economic self-reliance for the working low-income and homeless.
Family Services – Works to help children, families, and individuals to escape hardship, economic or otherwise, specifically focusing on childhood development, family violence, sexual assault, counseling, and pregnancy/adoption.
Goodwill – Through the sale of donated items in stores, Goodwill funds employment and training programs to empower people experiencing hard times.
Habitat for Humanity – With a philosophy of “a hand up, not a handout,” Habitat Forsyth makes it possible for local families to achieve the strength and stability that comes from owning safe, decent, affordable housing with an affordable mortgage.

The Salvation Army of Greater Winston-Salem – The Salvation Army offers life-changing programs. These include operating the only emergency family homeless shelter in Forsyth County, emergency aid to prevent homelessness, two food pantries, a Boys & Girls Club, Senior Center, and Christmas assistance.
Samaritan Ministries – An interdenominational, volunteer-based Christian ministry that serves Winston-Salem and Forsyth County by providing a soup kitchen, a 70-bed homeless shelter for men, and a substance abuse recovery program.
The Shalom Project – Develops programs that challenge the cycle of poverty in the Winston-Salem community with a spirit of inclusion, compassion, and justice.
The Winston-Salem Urban League – Empowers and advocates for African Americans and other disenfranchised communities and promotes socioeconomic progress and parity through education, training, and civic engagement.
a/perture – A community cinema focused on showcasing informative, educational, thought-provoking, and inspiring films.
Authoring Action – A program that empowers youth and allows them to express themselves through creative writing, speech, film, and design.
Bookmarks – A literary arts nonprofit organization and independent bookstore that works to ignite the love of reading.
MUSE Winston-Salem – A museum that preserves, promotes, and presents the dynamic history and diverse stories of the Winston-Salem and Forsyth County community through education and collaboration.
Positive Image Performing Arts – A positive and fun-loving performing arts environment in which students are taught to achieve their own unique abilities and talent.
ABC of NC – An organization that provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational services for children with autism spectrum disorder and their families.
Alphabet – An organization that creates out-of-school programs for children to engage children’s minds, expand their horizons, and provide parents with a sense of security.
Best Choice Center – An academically focused YWCA program that provides after school care, enrichment activities, and summer camp for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
Big Brothers Big Sisters – An organization that matches adult volunteers with children ages 6 through 18 for mentorship.
The Children’s Center – A care center primarily serving children with orthopedic and/or long-term chronic health impairments.
Crossnore Children’s Home – A non-profit organization providing residential foster care for children in crisis from North Carolina.
Cub Scouts – An organization for elementary school-aged children that works to make them into well-functioning members of their communities.
Forsyth Backpack Program – A program that feeds chronically hungry school children in the local school system so they can grow physically and mentally.
Forsyth County Young Leaders Program – A non-profit organization for high school students, providing them exposure to the opportunities available to them in the community; helping them gain personal and professional experience, and to work towards making Forsyth County a better place together.
Junior Achievement – A program that provides students in Forsyth County with an in-class curriculum surrounding financial literacy, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship.
Kaledium – An organization that develops exhibits and programming that fuse STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), literacy, and arts education into an integrated approach to learning in order to prepare early learners for school and spark all children’s imaginations and their desire to learn more.
The Salvation Army Ken Carlson Boys & Girls Club – A Boys and Girls Club on Reynolds Park Road.
LEAD Girls of NC – An organization dedicated to providing the tools and resources that low-income/at-risk preteen girls must have to become productive citizens and active leaders in their communities.
The Parenting PATH – An organization that works to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect by providing a variety of services aimed at strengthening families, enhancing parent-child relationships and increasing community awareness.
The Potter’s House for Children – A neighborhood-based community resource center.
Anthony’s Plot – A community of folks committed to the work of reconciliation within their city, neighborhood, homes, and selves.
Belview Park – A Winston-Salem City park and neighborhood center.
Boston Thurmond United – A resident-led, holistic revitalization initiative in the Boston-Thurmond neighborhood.
Down Syndrome Association of Greater Winston Salem – An organization that provides support and information to parents of children and adults with Down syndrome in the Piedmont area.
Forsyth Humane Society – An animal shelter with a goal of increasing the save rate of shelter dogs and cats.
Group Homes of Forsyth (Springwell Network, Inc.) – Quality residential care and training for adult persons with mental challenges and/or other intellectual developmental disabilities.
HandsOn NWNC – An organization that mobilizes the people and organizations that inspire community change in Forsyth, Davidson, Davie, Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin counties by offering capacity-building programming and connecting community resources.
The Hispanic League – An organization that strives to improve the quality of life for Hispanics/Latinos through promoting community inclusion, education, health, and multicultural understanding.
Humane Solution – An organization that provides low-cost vouchers to pet owners with financial hardships.
IFB Solutions – An organization that creates opportunities, builds community, and provides independence for people who are blind or visually impaired.
Latino Community Services – An organization that partners with Latino families to equip children and adults to fulfill their educational and economic potential, with hope for a positive and healthy future.
Love Out Loud – A faith-based organization that works to connect servant leaders, volunteers, and resources throughout Winston Salem.
Neighbors for Better Neighborhoods – An organization that supports neighborhood groups and encourages resident-led problem solving, by providing technical assistance and organizing support, learning, and leadership opportunities, along with grassroots grants for great ideas that promote growth and development in neighborhoods.
Polo Park Recreation Center – A local park and community center.
Riverwood Therapeutic Riding Center – An organization that provides quality, professional equine-assisted activities for both children and adults with special needs.
SECU House – An organization that provides affordable lodging and support services in a caring environment for referred adult patients and/or their caregivers who travel to Winston-Salem for medical treatment.
YWCA – An organization that works through advocacy and local programming to eliminate racism and empower women.
Action4Equity – A coalition building a movement to advance equity for students in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools in the areas of academic achievement, access to high-quality instruction, and safe and healthy school environments.

Ardmore Gateway Garden – A community garden located near WFU Baptist Medical Center.
Gateway Nature Preserve – A special place in Winston-Salem that brings people and nature together.
Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful –The local chapter of Keep America Beautiful, is responsible for enhancing the appearance of the city through clean-up events, beautification projects, and educational activities.
Piedmont Environmental Alliance – Organizes events and programs to inspire environmentally sustainable action and lifestyle choices.
Yadkin River Keeper – Creates programs to work with residents, regulators, and elected officials throughout the Yadkin Pee Dee River Basin to ensure compliance with the federal Clean Water Act and NC pollution control laws.
Forsyth County Court System – The county-level judicial system under which Winston-Salem falls.
Forsyth County Public Library – The local organization of public libraries in Forsyth County.
Forsyth County’s District Attorney’s Office – Represents the State with integrity and professionalism, while protecting victims and their rights, in the pursuit of justice.
Winston-Salem Police Department – The city police department for Winston-Salem, NC.
Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System – Forsyth County’s network and administration of public schools.
Cobblestone Farmers Market – An all-local, sustainable producers-only market that brings fresh, healthy foods into downtown Winston-Salem.
Community Care Center – A volunteer-based, free, non-profit healthcare clinic that treats the whole person and family.
DEAC Clinic – A student-run, free medical clinic that provides high-quality care to local underserved communities.
FaithHealthNC – A network of congregations, health care providers, and community organizations that works to leverage faith assets to improve health in the community.
Harmony Ridge Farms – A farm that specializes in pastured meats and grows their vegetables according to organic standards.
HOPE – An organization which uses community-wide volunteer support to prepare and bring nutritious weekend meals to the thousands of children in Forsyth County who are at risk for hunger.
Imagine Forsyth – A community-centric partnership between neighbors, business, non-profit, civic, and philanthropic organizations whose interests focus on improving health and wellness outcomes for people in Forsyth County.
New Communion – A faith-based organization with the goal of enhancing community relationships and diminishing the impacts of hunger and food insecurity by sharing abundance to expand food and financial sponsorship to support securing healthy nutrition for all.
Novant Health Forsyth – Provides emergency services, medical services, surgical services, rehabilitation and behavioral health services.
Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem – A ‘home away from home’ for families with children receiving treatment in our community’s medical facilities.

Twin City Harm Reduction Collective – Seeks to improve the health and lives of people who use drugs in North Carolina and surrounding areas.
Unity Wellness Center of Winston-Salem – Provides compassionate and transformative health and wellness services in a safe environment that honors the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit.
Delicious by Shereen – A catering business that serves Egyptian and Middle Eastern cuisine by employing refugee women, allowing them to work while they adapt to life in America.
World Relief (Winston-Salem) – An organization that works to empower the local Church and engage community partners to welcome refugees, immigrants, and survivors of human trafficking with services and support that restore lives and hope.
