Wake Forest University proudly hosts a Public Health AmeriCorps program, where members work alongside nonprofit organizations to address some of the nation’s most critical public health challenges while preparing members for future careers in public health.

This program offers individuals the opportunity to turn their values into action, making a tangible difference in communities through dedicated service.

Become the next generation of public health leaders through this unique partnership.

Partner

Local nonprofit agencies are welcome to apply to host an AmeriCorps member annually through the Office of Civic & Community Engagement.

Eligible partners must:

  • Be a not-for-profit organization and have 501 (c)(3) status.
  • Provide services targeting poverty alleviation.
  • Provide a work station, access to a computer, internet service, desk, and phone for an AmeriCorps member.
  • Have one assigned staff to provide supervision for the AmeriCorps member(s) on an on-going basis.
