Deacs Decide is a collaborative, campus-wide initiative supported by a Steering Committee made up of members from across Wake Forest University. The committee brings together staff from both student and academic affairs to help strengthen civic and democratic engagement across campus.

Deacs Decide Fellowship

The Deacs Decide Fellowship gives Wake Forest students hands-on experience supporting nonpartisan civic engagement on campus and in the community. Fellows work together to help their peers and community members participate in elections and make informed decisions about their civic engagement.

Through the fellowship, students may:

  • Help register students, faculty, staff, and community members to vote.
  • Create and share educational resources about voting and elections.
  • Help students find information about voting, polling locations, and election resources.
  • Plan and support Deacs Decide events and programs leading up to elections.
  • Build practical skills in communication, outreach, event planning, and civic engagement.

The fellowship is an opportunity for students to put their leadership skills into practice while helping make civic participation more accessible to the Wake Forest community.
