Marianne Magjuka

Marianne Magjuka serves as the Assistant Dean of Students and Executive Director of the Office of Civic & Community Engagement. In this role, she provides strategic vision, oversight, and development for curricular and co-curricular initiatives. Marianne has established key social justice initiatives at Wake Forest, including the BRANCHES Social Justice Retreat, Institute on Social Justice Practice, BUILD pre-orientation program, and Civil Rights Tour. She created the Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement area, and in 2016 co-directed Wake the Vote. A trained facilitator of Intergroup Dialogue, Sustained Dialogue, and Deliberative Dialogue, Magjuka has developed several campus-wide dialogue initiatives. In 2015, she established the Winston-Salem Community Action Coalition and supervises an AmeriCorps*VISTA project focused on economic empowerment. In addition, she functions as part of the Dean of Students team that provides caring outreach, problem-solving, and referral services for students and their families experiencing a crisis, specifically related to bias incidents.
In Winston-Salem, Marianne serves on the research, education, and advocacy committee of the Women’s Fund of Winston-Salem, and is on the advisory board for North Carolina Campus Compact.
Anna Donze
Assistant Director of Community Engagement

Anna leads Campus Kitchen, the Kids Cooking Coalition, and the Summer Nonprofit Immersion Program at Wake Forest University. Before returning to Wake Forest, she served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member and gained extensive experience with local nonprofit organizations, focusing on critical issues such as homelessness, food insecurity, and disability advocacy.
Deb Marke
Assistant Director, Advocacy and Social Justice Education

As the Assistant Director, Advocacy and Social Justice Education in the Office of Civic & Community Engagement Deb Marke oversees the OCCE’S social justice initiatives and coordinates both the Deacs Decide election engagement project and Wake Alternative Break.
A Wake Forest alumna, Marke graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science with double minors in Psychology and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. A gifted facilitator, Marke has developed several trainings on intersectional feminist activism, critical community-building, and leadership development. Before her return to Winston-Salem, Marke served as the Program Coordinator for Leadership and Activism in the Women’s Center at the University of Cincinnati, where she was named Outstanding New Professional and served as the Programming Chair for the LGBTQ Faculty and Staff Association.
Jennifer Mereby Rubin
Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, Jennifer assists with the daily functions of the Office of Civic & Community Engagement to ensure effective and efficient operations. In this role, Jennifer oversees both financial and business operations, as well as communication initiatives. Prior to arriving at Wake Forest, she worked for the Florida Gators, specializing in guest services, fan experience, and game-day operations.
Cazandra Rebollar
Assistant Director, Civic Engagement

Cazandra oversees Project Pumpkin and DESK, leads the Civic Scholars Program, and advises student service organizations. She also develops volunteer opportunities for students in the Winston-Salem community and manages outreach efforts for the Office. She is also the main point of contact for GivePulse, our volunteer management platform.
Bradley Shugoll

Brad Shugoll serves as the Director of Service & Leadership, leading strategic planning and development of direct service and philanthropy initiatives including, The Campus Kitchen at Wake Forest University and the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund. Through his work, Shugoll provides training on leadership for social change and equips students to engage in meaningful civic action. Shugoll served as the Wake Forest Fellow for Campus Life in 2013, a graduate assistant for the Initiative for Information Impact at the University of Michigan, and as a Case Manager at Elon University prior to joining the Office of Civic & Community Engagement.
